Vipot has been proven to exhibit better performance than conventional plastic pots during the cultivation period. The pot itself acts as a fertilizing medium for the plant. Air and water are able to move through the pot due to its porous, ‘breathable’ properties. As a result, both the root system and foliage are comparatively healthier and more vibrant.
The core material is the by-product of annual crops which are usually treated as waste, thus preventing any burden on the diminishing natural resources on the Earth. Rice is grown and harvested extensively in China, and every year the rice husk that ends up being burnt amounts to tens of thousands of tons. Not only does the husk go to waste, but this also exacerbates air pollution levels in some areas. Vipot provides an excellent means of waste treatment of traditionally unwanted rice husk by aptly turning low to zero-value waste into unique industrial products.
